Sankara College of Science and Commerce follows the rules and regulations as prescribed by UGC on detection / Reporting / Handling of Plagiarism for Promotion of Academic Integrity and Prevention of Plagiarism Regulations. The institution is well prepared to prevent or handle plagiarism and follows the academic honesty. As per the norms of UGC and Bharathiar University the authenticated plagiarism tools are used for article / thesis plagiarism checking under the guidance of research cell. In addition to this, with the support of our affiliating university URKUND tool is utilized by the scholars available in University library.

• Level 0: Similarities upto 10% – Minor similarities, no penalty
• Level 1: Similarities above 10% to 40% – Resubmission of revised script within 6 months
• Level 2: Similarities above 40% to 60% – Debarred from submitting a revised script for 1 year
• Level 3: Similarities above 60% – The registration for that programme shall be cancelled.
