Internal Quality Assurance Cell

Sankara College of Science and Commerce established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in the year 2014 as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure as per National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) guidelines. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the performance of institutions.The cell propagates and shares the information to stakeholders on various quality parameters of higher education.

Vision

To develop a quality process in academics and administration for the overall development of the institution by making continuous efforts in terms of sustaining excellence and setting benchmarks.

Mission

  • To guarantee a student-centric learning environment equipped with latest techniques and technologies of teaching and research
  • To take continuous efforts to enhance quality and sustainability
  • To encourage usage ICT tools for teaching and learning process and to inculcate value–based education system
  • To encourage faculty members to apply for research grants in various funding agencies
  • To motivate departments to organize Seminars, Workshops, Webinars, Research Conferences and Faculty Development Programmes
  • To monitor the annual progress of academics and administration through timely internal and external audit
  • To ensure the adequacy, timely maintenance and smooth functioning of the support services
  • To take initiatives for industry and academy collaboration
  • To build a strong relationship with stakeholders

IQAC Quality Policy

Sankara College of Science and Commerce is a learner oriented Educational Institution committed to provide quality higher education and strive continuously for the growth of the students community and derive satisfaction in pursuit of their knowledge, wisdom and aspired goals.

Objectives and Functions of IQAC

  • Develop quality benchmarks and parameters in various activities
  • Continuous monitoring of the quality measures through audit mechanisms
  • Collects data on various aspects of institution functioning
  • To conduct Faculty Development programmes
  • Strengthening unique and innovative practices and enhancing quality sustenance measures
  • To develop inter-communication in all sectors of institution
  • Documentation of various programmes / activities leading to quality improvement
  • Preparation of AQAR annually to be submitted to NAAC based on the quality parameters
  • To integrate various curricular and co-curricular activities to facilitate overall growth of students
  • To promote synergistic relationships with industry and society
  • To evolve a feedback mechanism from stakeholders for quality enhancement to improve healthy practices and overcome weaknesses
  • To develop job-oriented and administrative skills among the students through various programmes
