B.Sc Information Technology

Overview

The Department of B.Sc IT was established in the year 2007 and cultivating the students with latest technologies and good quality of placements. The Department has qualified and dedicated faculty team to groom the students according to the IT expectations. The department aims at providing strong knowledge to the students on the day to day applications where computers play an eminent role and also helps the students to develop core competencies in computer applications thereby creating best professionals for the IT industry. This programme also focuses on the various hardware and software application areas. The practical knowledge provides more programming skills in wide range of applications.

IT Club and Industry Institute Forum were established with the goal of allowing students to interact with IT professions and industry experts to shape broaden exposure and knowledge. The department hosts a variety of Guest Lectures, Technical Workshops, Seminars, and Conferences to help students improve their subject knowledge. The department provides value added and MOOC courses to boost the curriculum to maintain their career capabilities.

Programme Educational Objectives

  • PEO1 : To obtain in-depth knowledge of software and hardware techniques, which provide a compact foundation to pursue continuing education and nurture the talent for innovation and research

IT CLUB Association Newsletter

IT club was established in the year 2007. All the department activities are conducted under the roof of this club. The activities are monitored by Faculty of IT Department, Secretary, Joint Secretary and Treasurer of IT Club. Both technical and non-technical activities are carried out in the club. Technical events like symposium, quiz, group discussion debugging, blogging, workshop, seminar, paper presentation, mini projects conducted through this club. Design Thinking Activity is implemented to improve the design and creative skills of the students. Non-technical events like Extension Activity which includes Save Nature (Water Conservation), Drug Abuse, Social Media Awareness and Road Safety make him a better citizen. These club activities make the students to be strong in technical and social responsible person. This club actively monitors the student participation in various activity.
